Ingessana or Teda throwing knife / throwing axe, most likely from the
Tibesti massif in the central Sahara. Leather-sewn handle is a recent
repair, walnut display plaque is also modern. Scholars are still debating
whether these weapons were predominantly hand held or predominantly thrown,
but you have to admit either way that it's one nasty customer.
