Ngombe sword

Sword from the Ngombe or Nkagal people of central Zaire. Traditional "split" design, leaf-shaped blade, wood grip decorated with wire. The method of fullering the blade is quite interesting - the fullers are off center and parallel on each side of the blade. Sharp edges with a nick out of one side (hit to the bone?)
