"Single edged sail guard main gauche" - yeah, it's a long title, but you have to admit it's descriptive. The sail guard style main gauche is Spanish, sometimes called a "viscaine" dagger, and has it's origins from the Basque area of Biscay. This particular main gauche has a single edged blade. (And a sail guard. And it's a main gauche.)
