Battle of the Nations / Historical Medieval Battles "punch buckler" custom made by a friend after reviewing pictures of the Russian team's equipment at BotN 2012. Slightly curved 3/4" birch plywood with a 16 gauge steel reinforcement face plate, forged iron grip, ready-to-paint neutral canvas covering, and metal edging covered in thick rawhide. Used once at an SCA practice (hence the minor tape/paint smears), but it's never yet punched someone in the face in earnest. Nice and solid, I'd keep it but shoulder/elbow injuries and surgery dictates that my life-long love of polearms will continue without weapon and shield interruptions. This buckler is a beast.
