Gladius waster made in Texas from Tennessee hickory hardwood by
Purpleheart Armoury for Western Martial Arts training, drills, and
sparring. Weight, balance, and handling characteristics are superb. This is
a perfect training tool for anyone interested in armored or unarmored sword
combat.
The gladius was the typical sidearm of the Roman infantryman. Carried at all
times and in all situations, it's stout blade and needle sharp point made it
the ultimate close combat weapon.
