Tinker Pearce longsword

Designed by Michael "Tinker" Pearce, built by Paul Chen / CAS Hanwei. This is a beautifully light and balanced sword, a wonder to hold and swing, and perfect for test-cutting. The Oakeshott type XVIIIa blade is forged from 5160 spring steel with a body hardness of 50-53 Hrc and tang hardness in the low 30s Hrc. The flattened scent-stopper pommel (type T-1) forms a natural extension for a two-handed grip and the square cross-section guard provides solid security. The pommel is threaded with an allen nut to allow for dismantling of the hilt assembly for cleaning, inspection or easy transport.
