Iberian falcata

The Celtiberians held Spain and Portugal in the days before the Punic Wars. Their signature sword was the falcata, a fierce hacking weapon. The falcata has a single-edged blade that pitches forward towards the point, the edge being concave near the hilt, but convex near the point. This shape distributes the weight in such a way that the falcata is capable of delivering a blow with the momentum of an axe, while maintaining the longer cutting edge of a sword.

This reproduction is made by Legacy Arms / Generation 2, and features a 5160 steel blade, a blackened steel grip, and a full length top grain black leather scabbard.
