Paul Chen/Hanwei developed the Water Song Broadsword in response to requests from Wushu practitioners for a performance sword with a flexible blade. With an ultra-thin spring steel blade, tapering to almost paper thin at the tip, it is very light, extremely fast and "sings" quite loudly when swung. Therion thought the name "water song" was a bit pretentious until he heard the music of the blade. The blade is extremely thin and brightly polished - it appears dark in some of our pictures because the sword had to be angled away from the camera to avoid glare. The edge is not sharpened per-se, but we've included the Water Song in the "sharp swords" section because the sword is not meant for blunt sparring - just for demonstrations of skill. Comes with an open-backed wooden scabbard with blackened steel fittings.
