Vicksburg Bowie knife from the Paul Chen/Hanwei Historical Bowies Collection. High carbon steel blade with a "Spanish notch". Full tang. Wood "dog bone" shaped handles with nickel silver guard. Brown leather belt sheath with nickel silver tip and throat. The Vicksburg Bowie has a very early style blade with the Spanish notch and a handle called a "dogbone" due to its pommel shape. This is the style often carried by the keel-boatmen and on the steamboats. When you hold this one in your hand, it'll give you the confidence to take on "a room full of wildcats", as the old riverboat brag went! Comes with display/presentation case. (The blade is bright and shiny, it came out looking dark in some of the pictures above.)
