Paul Chen / Hanwei version of the Gjermundbu helm. Based on a classic Viking helm found in a Norwegian burial mound circa 970, it's thought by some to be several hundred years earlier than the burial find. Found in nine fragments, the helm has been re-constructed and is now housed in the Museum of National Antiquites in Oslo. The occular provides excellent facial and nasal protection, while chain mail provides flexible protection to the back and sides of the neck. Comes with a leather chin strap and a display stand.
