A limited edition early claymore made by Generation2. Gen2 calls this their "Brian Boru claymore", inspired by the famous Irish king who (mostly sucessfully) fought off the Viking invasions of Ireland. The pommel and cross-guard are made from solid brass. The grip is hardwood wrapped in black nylon cord. The quillions on this sword have the quatrefoil clovers extending mostly straight from the ends, rather than down-turned as in the later claymores. The blade tip is rounded rather than pointed, meant for hacking theough maille. The long wide fuller starts about 9" below the hilt and runs 30" towards the tip. A leather backstap is also included with the sword. Limited edition, only 400 of these swords were made.
