A classic mid-1900's Moro barong. Laminated steel blade is 1/4" thick at the spine, tapering distally to 1/8" near the tip. The coins riveted in the horn grip are 1 cent coins from the Dutch East Indies ("Nederlandish Indie") from 1945. The obverse coin (shown in closeup above) shows opium poppy flowers.
