Japanese sode - Daimyo grade

extended measurements: 8 1/2 x 9 1/2"

Yeah, I know, every random piece of authentic Japanese armor on the market gets listed as "Daimyo grade" (just like every piece of steel weaponry no matter how crude is supposedly "battle grade"), but this shoulder guard is really a superb example of the armorer's craftsmanship. For the most part, I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves, and I'll cheerfully take more pictures in closeup of any detail upon request. Let me answer the obvious question of: "do you have the rest of the armor or the other shoulder?" with a question of my own: "do you really think I'd be selling this one if I had the pair? :(" Serious collectors please contact me with any requests for more descriptions and/or photographs and I'll be happy to oblige.
