Japanese Arisaka rifle bayonet (1897-1945) converted into a straight wakizashi by weaponsmith Tom Hyle of Colorado. Nice solid blade is 5/16" thick at the spine and is quite sharp. Blade manufacturer's mark is that of the Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho (Toyoda Automatic Loom Works) under Nagoya supervision. Maple grip, steel tsuba and fittings, lacquered scabbard.
