Chinese "rooster" jian

Diamond cross-section double edged blade. Wood hilt and scabbard. The sword guard is a cast rooster, and there are three-dimensional lizards on the scabbard mountings. Pretty cool sword, but I don't really have much of a background in jian. Anyone know age and location for this one? I presume having a chicken and lizards on your sword is a good thing, not a bad thing, in Chinese swordsmanship ...

This has been identified as a modern-made fake antique. Many similar swords are being produced in central China and are being sold on eBay as original antiques. Caveat emptor!
