This style of Philippines bolo is from From Northern Luzon and is attributed to the national hero Andrés Bonifacio, who started the revolution against Spanish rule in the late 1800's. 12 3/4" long blade with a clip point, 1/4" thick near the guard. The brass guard is brazed on the blade. Octagonal cross section handle of carabao horn is 5 3/4” long with a brass ferrule. Blade tang is pinned at the butt of the handle. A nice solid weapon.
