These are large 14 gauge mild steel shield bosses, spun on a lathe and then highly polished on the face to remove the spin marks. These are wider and deeper than the dish on the 14ga shield boss - standard, with a truncated conical dish that allows more room for a center grip and gauntlet to fit into the boss.
