Designed by Michael "Tinker" Pearce and made by Hanwei to exacting specifications, this blunt Norman style sword is balanced to provide authentic handling characteristics for the reenactor, performer, and film / stage combatant. Distinctive cruciform guard and brazil-nut pommel. The blade is forged from 5170 high carbon steel marquenched to HRc50-52, allowing anti-burr safety. The grips has a cord-wrapped wood core covered with leather. The wooden scabbard is covered with leather, and has steel fittings.
