A Phyrgian style Norman helmet with an antiqued finish. (Phyrgian style refers to the curved peak of the helmet, in contrast with the more rounded and sectional spangenhelm style Norman helmets.) The conical shape provides a glancing surface, and the nasal provided rudimentary protection to the face without restricting vision. This 18 gauge, 1 lb 15 oz steel helmet has a handsome aged finish and an adjustable leather liner. Great for film or theater or light weight reenactment wear.
