The Enfield Model 1859 cutlass bayonet was imported during the Civil War by both the North and South for navy and coastal artillery units. The bayonet fits two-band Enfield muskets equipped with a stud on the side of the barrel as well as the 1861 Enfield musketoons - and it also makes/made for an impressive sidearm/shortsword. Tempered high carbon steel, unique cup guard, extremely well-executed worn/aged/antiqued finish, black leather scabbard. These modern reproductions look like antiques.
