The "Atrim I-Beam" training and sparring sword - designed by celebrated swordsmith Angus Trim, made by Valiant Armoury. A blunt training longsword with a deeply fullered blade made from hand forged 1060 high carbon spring steel. The edges are 5mm thick near the guard, tapering to 4mm near the tip. Intended for blade on blade sparring, it is extremely quick and flexible while maintaining a thick solid edge to withstand contact. The I-Beam provides the balance and feel of a sharpened long sword. Cord-wraped leather over wood grip, allen-wrench dismountable pommel. Recommended for Western Martial Artists, reenactors, and stage combatants alike! Blade flex conforms to SCA cut and thrust rules - with a 6 oz weight at 1" from the tip, the blade flexes 3/4".
