A 13th century Crusader helmet, transitional between Norman style helmets and full greathelms. Also known as a topfhelm, these helmets were worn over maille coifs and gave good vision (due to the occularium being close to the eyes) and good breathing (due to the number of airholes) and good protection (because it's a steel helmet and that beats the heck out of walking around bare-headed when folks are swinging swords at you). 14 gauge steel, adjustable leather suspension liner and chin strap. Outer circumference is 26", weight is ~8 lbs. Made by GDFB - Get Dressed For Battle.
