"The Legendary Sword of A Mighty Viking King!"
Yeah, that's not Cheap-Swords-R-Us hyperbole, this actually is an interpretation of Skofnung, sword of the legendary Danish king Hrólf Kraki, and it does take a mighty warrior to wield it. "The best of all swords that have been carried in northern lands", Skofnung was renowned for it's supernatural sharpness and hardness, as well as for being imbued with the spirits of a dozen of the king's faithful berserker bodyguards. How can you argue with that?
The design for this two-handed viking sword (seriously, as far as I know, there were no such things) originated with a reproduction company called Last Legend. This version is by Legacy Arms, allies of Last Legend, sucessors of Generation 2 (yeah, reproduction sword companies can be as epically chaotic as the legends and legacies of generations of heroes and kings). Anyway, this is one serious beast of a mighty sword, sharp as all get out and tough as all Hel (see what I did there?). The massive blade is 5160 high carbon steel, fullered for strength and lightness (boy, I can't imagine what this blade would weigh if it weren't fullered), with a wide full tang peened through the leather wrapped wooden hilt and skull-crushing pommel cap. (Look back up at the pictures, and you can see the tang peened through the pommel). The hefty wood-cored leather-wrapped scabbard is included (of course - carrying this around bare would be asking for your own legendary tale of blood and woe).
I mean, seriously, Viking Hero Sword. This is serious cool (if not completely serious historical - any friends want to comment on the historicity of two-handed hilts in this time period?).
(Do not fold, spindle, or mutilate. The sword you receive may or may not contain a dozen souls of berserker bodyguards).
