Good basic beginning-of-the 14th century cutting sword / early longsword - it's right in the middle of the evolution of single-handed use-with-shields swords --> classic arming swords --> war swords --> true longswords. The diamond cross-section hollow ground (I really dig those!) blade is sharp 1566 high carbon steel. The tang is peened through a hardwood grip and elongated scent-stopper pommel, and it comes with an elegant steel and leather scabbard with suspension rings. These are quite solid and functional.
