German ring-guard longsword

This ring-guard German longsword is a high performance sword for serious users and collectors. A modern interpretation inspired by historical examples, it has an expertly heat treated and spring tempered 1060 steel blade that is exquisitely balanced, beautifully polished and hand-honed to a keen edge. A large S-shaped guard and a protective side ring offer significant hand protection while performing the binding, trapping, and winding techniques that made the German sword art so effective. The leather wrapped leather grip terminates in a twisting spiral heavy steel pommel that counter balances the long blade and also serves as a weapon in its own right (mordschlag, baby!) Comes with a hand-stitched leather scabbard with antiqued steel and brass fittings.
