Fluted pauldrons

The terms "pauldrons" and "spaulders" are often used synonymously. For the most part, I prefer to use pauldrons for shoulder protection that wraps around to the front and back of the deltoids and helps cover the armpits; and spaulders for shoulder armor that primarily protects the joint. These guys are more pauldrony than spauldery, and they're also quite good looking. Heavy duty and ready for most combat activities: they're 16 gauge mild steel, and the fluting adds strength to the metal. These are quite solid and strong. Fits sizes L/XL/XXL.
