Dark Sentinel messer-katana

Yes, this is completely fantasy-based: a cross between a Japanese katana, a German grosse messer, and a Thai dha - but it's one hell of a bad- ass cutting sword. The blade is 1566 high carbon steel, a type often found in modern mono-steel katana, so you know it takes a good edge. The hilt is leather over a wood core studded (for your pleasure?) for a firm grip and a tsuba style guard (for your protection). The scabbard is a tough syntheic composite resin with steel fittings.
