Measurements
Riveted maille coif. Individual links are flattened wire. Both ends are pierced, overlapped, and a small round rivet is hand-peened to close the link. Riveted maille is far superior in strength to butted maille, and is meant to stand up to the rigors of armored combat reenactment. The style of maille made with flattened rings and round rivets was popular throughout Eastern Europe and South-Central Asia from the middle ages up through the 1800's.
