Grand scimitar - Dance sword
Big classically styled scimitar, also known as a grand shamshir, or, to be most specific - an Ottoman Turkish kilij. This isn't a stage prop, it's a sharp, tempered, functional sword, but a lot of our dancer friends have been throwing away their junky made-in-India horsehead sabers in favor of this big beastie. Balances perfectly on the thick back edge of the blade. Yes, it's sharp, it's heavy, it's dangerous, but that's the fun part, right? However, it's also available blunted for safety.

If you wish, I can blunt the edges (and point) for you for safety purposes. I use hand tools in order to not affect the temper of the blade, and take the sharp edge and sharp back edge down to about 2mm, and round off the tip.
