Venetian stiletto

Copied from an original in the Doge's Palace in Venice, circa 1520. Stilettos came in many sizes, from delicate little hideout weapons to long daggers suitable for use as main gauche. The elegantly crafted contours and hollow ground triangular blade of this example were obviously shaped by a master - someone who knew his work and knew form and function as well, for the dagger shines with a positively happy wickedness. This reproduction features a hardwood grip and a specially fitted sheath.
