Hunter Bowie from the Paul Chen/Hanwei Historical Bowies Collection. High carbon steel blade. Black wood handle with nickel silver guard and inlay shield. Brown leather belt sheath with nickel silver tip. Alfred Hunter was a cutler from Newark, New Jersey. He was in the Bowie knife business early 1830's or 1840's. His bowies were top quality then, and originals are very rare now. Comes with matching sheath and presentation case. See the (discontinued) Bell Bowie knife for examples.
