Gen2 / Legacy Arms version of an Irish longsword (hand-and-a-half sword, bastard sword), dating circa 1475-1525. Full tang construction, flexible and strong high carbon steel blade. Polished steel cross guard and pommel, leather wrapped handle. This sword is sharp, light and quick. Comes with a wood core leather covered scabbard with steel fittings. The engraving showing Irish Gallowglass mercenaries is by Albrecht Durer. Also available is a matching Irish dagger.
Up until 2024, Gen2 / Legacy Arms version 1.0 swords were made in the Philippines. The Legacy Arms 2.0 Next Generation (see what I did there?) are being made by Dragon King in Dalian, China.
