Swiss longsword, copy of a sword currently in the UK Royal Armoury that was found in Lake Lucerne, Switzerland, dating circa 1350-1370. A classic Oakeshott type XVa with pommel-type J and cross-guard 8. The grip is wood wrapped in leather. The cross guard and pommel are polished steel fitted onto a full tang that is peened at top of the pommel for strength and durability. The center of the pommel is slightly concave. This sword features an adjustable diagonal suspension scabbard of hardwood wrapped in leather. Very sharp, light and well-balanced - this sword just floats in the hand(s)!
