Antique blade and original scabbard, brass fittings and maple grip dome by
Colorado weaponsmith Tom Hyle. The blade is quite interesting. Chromed and a
bit rusted at one point in its life, it is one of the springiest and most
flexible saber blades I've ever handled. Single sided fuller, flat on the
other side of the blade, reminiscent of Austrian 1860's sidearms. Not sharpened,
edge is typical military peace-time issue 1mm blunt, tip is squared off in
schlager style. Light and fast, a rather nice piece despite the marring of
the blade surface.
