Old long bayonet blade that was tempered and hardened but never actually
mounted as a bayonet ... now matched with a shasqua style hilt and air-dried
walnut sheath. (Kiln-dried walnut is much more common, but the heat tends to
remove the grain patterning. That's why this one's sheath is so attractively
grained in a chevron style.)
