Stabbing (war) spear from the Zulu's of Ulundi, South Africa. Long leaf shaped iron head, brass wire wrapping, wood shaft with hide on the end for a secure grip. Wonderful dark patina to shaft from storage in smoke filled huts. Some cracks and twists to the shaft, but it's not bad for a "user" spear that's over 45 years old.
