Visayan pinuti (espada) long knife/short sword from Luzon (Philippines). Blade is 3/16" thick at the base of the spine, tapering distally to 1/16" near the tip. Graceful slight curve to the sharp edge of the blade, which is chisel-ground sharpened - flat on one side, beveled on the other. Clear stamping on one side - "AD". Nice solid horn hilt with heavy octagonal brass bolster and buttcap. circa 1875-1900.
