Mid 1900's - WWII era Merchant Marine handmade knife (also known as a "theater knife"). Blade was once a large file. Nicely made, wedge cross sectioned with slightly bellowed flats. Intricate knotwork grip and pommel is solidified and waterproofed by solid epoxy. Integral wrist lanward. Leather sheath is wood lined with hand tooled embossing. Nickle steel guard. A very nice work knife.
