One-hand fighting axe from the Shona people of Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia). From the Chipinge area in the east of Zimbabwe near the border of Mozambique. Double-layer forge welded head firmly set into hardwood shaft, decorated with twisted brass and copper wire. A rare axe, hard to find.
