This is an early 1900's "formal dresswear" Moroccan nimcha, not to be confused with the earlier 1800's nimcha light cavalry saber. A traditional dress weapon worn at weddings and other formal occasions. Sharp, deeply curved blade is incised and inlaid with brass. Wood scabbard is reinforced with brass bands, inlaid with brass wire and decorative disks.
