Incredibly brutal close-quarters weapon, the Zulu iklwa spear originated at the time of the British-Zulu Wars in southern Africa at the end of the 1800's. This nasty little example has a long heavy blade with a thick tang and iron ferrule, cord wraped shaft, and a carved, domed butt. Collected by a missionary in the years immediately preceeding WWI.
