Nepalese temple kora

length: 25"
blade: 19"
blade width (base): 1 3/8"
blade width (tip): 6 1/4"
grip: 5 1/2"
weight: 1 lb 15.8 oz

Very nice example of a mid 1800's Nepalese temple kora. Blade carved with antelopes, lions, elephants, and men. Remains of gold and silver koftgari on grip. This style of kora is more processional than a fighting sword, but the inner edge and tip are sharpened and show evidence of use and re-sharpening. A relatively rare sword.
