Ghurka kukhri

length: 18 1/2"
blade: 14 1/2"
blade width: 1 3/8" base, 2 3/16" maximum
grip: 4"

This is neither mass-produced military issue nor a tourist reproduction, it's a hand made fully functional weapon. Ridged blade spine is 5/8" thick at the base, slims down dramatically as if the entire face of the blade were one large fuller, then widens out at the "hamon" line (forgive the japanese sword allusion) to provide light blade weight but concentrated support for the cutting edge. This weapon/tool was most definetly used. The blade is lightly stained and patinated, there's no live rust. Circa early 1900's, comes with original leather covered wooden sheath. Companion knives missing.
