Model 1845 Saxon falchion designed for use by engineering and artillery
crews as brush cutters and stake sharpeners for cannon emplacements. Nice
solid hilt and blade with a thick spine and a 4 1/2" false back edge. Partially obscured imperial crown armourer's mark and another marking that was purposefully
ground off indicates that this particular falchion likely was captured and reissued.
