Golok or short machete, circa mid 1800's. This is definetly not a WWII
souvenir. Hand-hammered blade is .25" at the spine, with distal taper down to the
point. Scabbard is wooden, in two halves held together by a thin twisted rope, with a
thick coin-shaped "menuki" with two Oriental characters. A very solid piece, capabale
of doing serious damage to either flesh or field.
