German short WWI bayonet with scabbard. Wingen jr. pommel with bird's eye
rivet. Horn grips. Bayonet ring removed at time of issue. Thick 1/4" spine
to the blade which is one of the uncommon versions without the sawback spine
(this is original, not a reground and reissues sawtooth). This bayonet was
the precursor to the Nazi Police "eagle-head" dress dagger. Marked with king
and knight's head symbols of Weyersberg, Kirschbaum, & Cie (1883-1999).
