length: 16 1/8"
Parang-nabur styled blade, hollow horn hilt grip, brass bound bolster
w/usage split, wooden scabbard is newer than the weapon but made for it.
My collector friends and I are still discussing the origins of this one -
some folks think it may be a style of sikkin from Aceh, but I'm not familiar
with seeing hollow horn hilts on sikkin, only solid wooden ones. The shape
of the hilt (sort of an open fish) is similar in outline,
but not quite the same.
