Replicated from a 17th century rapier made in the German steel capital of Solingen (hence the name - duh). Flex tempered high carbon steel blade, wire wrapped grip, antique finish swept hilt, black leather scabbard with steel fittings. The antiqued finish allows a museum-quality patina to be applied to stainless steel while retaining the non-corroding properties of the steel. This attractive finish gives a nice authentic appearance to the rapier. Also available is a polished version, a separate blunt/rebated rapier blade that fits in this hilt and gives you a full sharp-or-blunt training weapons system, and a matching antiqued Solingen dagger / main gauche.
